Barkey the Godly Dog

My Friends,
My name is 'Barkey' and I'm a dog of God. Like human babies, I was born into this world with a sense of innocence. Unlike human babies, I haven't lost my innocence as I've gotten older. I continue to love all humans, even when they treat me badly. I figure that my best path is to continue to love those who hurt and bother me, hoping that they'll change someday through my example of love.
We have so much fun together when they're not in the 'hurt mode'. Even at their best, though, my human friends slip up and behave poorly around me. I wish I could give them a bone or something when they do good things, like they do me. Yes, a reward for good behavior. God tells me that He has a reward for them. It's kind of a package deal, which includes forgiveness, love, grace and eternal life.
I admit I'm not perfect. I sometimes have trouble loving my neighbor dogs. I guess us dogs and humans are more alike than I thought. I guess dogs and humans need to live in ways that earn each of us our own kind of bone.
In His Kennel,
Barkey

Romans With Paul Eight-Six-To-Eleven

In this we call the life of our desire,

Where beauty lies but cannot stand the heat,

For in this life we must not touch the fire,

And we should see our soul develop sweet;

But if in life we choose as St. Paul said,

To seek none but the flesh in all we do,

A bed not fit for man to lay his head,

Nor to his Lord and God to be so true.

Paul is the one that helps us find the way,

As Jesus struck him down in awesome light,

He learned to seek the Spirit all the day,

For that's the only way to get things right.

We have to make a choice in life at last,

To be not in the flesh, but Spirit cast.

I Am A Human Being, Ipso Facto, I Am A Child Of God

There's no way out of this life we've been given. We can fight it to the end, but we are children of God. Continued denial that we are His children is a painful way to live life. We are His Eternal Children and if we choose to ignore His Light, we place ourselves in darkness. In order to live our lives in the best way possible no matter the bumps in the road, we must give up our fear of death, enjoy our gift and give thanks for God's Love & Grace. The icing on the cake is the eternal life that is ours with our Father Creator.

We make it such a rough walk as we move away from the innocence of our childhood to the challenges of our natural world adulthood. Trust in God is swallowed up by our ego's and our need to be in control. The many masks of success are all around us and we try to put on our mask, which is demanded by the natural world playwrights.

Trusting in God always wins out over the other options. We are home-schooled by God our Father and as our teacher, He will give us our grades. The grades given by the 'masked' people are not accepted, authorized or accredited by God.

Science and our Creator God

In a Cosmic Census (click on post title for more info) scientists have estimated that some 50-billion planets are in our Milky Way Galaxy. 500-million of those planets are not too hot and not too cold to sustain life. There are 300-billion stars in our Milky Way and there are 100-billion galaxies like our Milky Way in the cosmos. So where do we take this info from here? I guess we could say as many scientists say, 'there's a good chance for life somewhere else in our Milky Way Galaxy, not to mention the other 99.99 billion galaxies in the cosmos.' Well whoopty-do! I don't doubt that God may have given the gift of life in other places in this vast universe, but that doesn't change the significance and the blessing of the life he gifted here on Planet Earth. All these Astronomical numbers just confirm an orchestration by our loving Creator God!
